I’m a web designer based in North Port, FL.
I absolutely love building websites for people and helping grow their business. It brings me a lot of joy knowing that I can help contribute to someones’ growth.
Professionally – I’m a web designer specializing with WordPress
Personally – I’m a fiancé, father of 2 (McKennna, 4, Matthew, 2), high jump coach, and huge Ohio State Buckeyes fan.

My first time seeing snow (2017)
As you probably already know, my name is Kevin. I’m 23 years old, and I’ve been making websites since high school, which for me obviously wasn’t that long ago since I graduated in 2016.
I am a family man. I have two beautiful children, McKenna and Matthew, ages 4 and 2. Nothing in this world means more to me than my family. If I go homeless tomorrow, it will be extremely stressful, but I’d still have my family and that’s all that matters to me.
Outside work, there are a few main things I love to do: play video games, learn, and most of all spend time with my family. I still have yet to buy a PS5, and besides learning more about my industry of web design, I study ethical hacking. Yes, that’s right, hacking. It’s a lot different than the movies, but the premise is still there: take control of another computer from your computer. It is really interesting! And of course, anything my family wants to do, I’m game! We do everything together and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Sports, you say? O-H! I-O! I am a huge Ohio State Buckeyes fan. When the Bucks are playing, my house usually gets pretty loud. I cannot express to you how excited I was when watching OSU win the National Championship in 2014.
At the end of the day, I’m just a humble family man trying to live my best life.
My passion for web design stems from my enjoyment of helping others. In my free time I coach high jump at my local high school, so I guess you could say helping others is in my blood. I know that all sounds cliché, but there isn’t another way to describe it. I genuinely enjoy helping people.
I started learning web design sophomore year in high school and I thought it was the coolest thing in the world (I still do!). I then took web design the following 2 years and I had a pretty good foundation. I had a few different jobs after high school and with every one I always thought, “There has to be a better way to make money doing something I actually enjoy.” And that’s when the thought of web design came springing forward. My second thought was, “I must be the first person actually taking something they learned in high school and applying it to my everyday life,” because we all know how often we use y=mx+b from math class, right? There was just one problem, high school talk me the basics, which was a nice foundation. I just didn’t have the tools to create a scalable business.
So there I was struggling to figure out how to take my web design skills and apply it to a real life situation. High school didn’t teach us how to host a website online or what WordPress was. I had to figure all that out on my own. Hours upon hours of research. Heck, if I put that much research into my actual schoolwork, I would’ve graduated top of my class!
Fast forward a little while and I was buying my domain name, setting up hosting for my website, and getting started on what would be an actual business. Me, a business owner? I’ve only ever thought of 9-5 jobs and never doing something like this for myself. Everyone knows a business owner or at least has heard of someone’s story: starting from nothing and working tirelessly to achieve everything they’ve ever dreamed of. And there I was starting my own story. From the ground up, from absolutely nothing.
Where I fell in love with web design (North Port High School)
The big question: Why? Why did I get into this industry?
I initially got into this industry because I was sick and tired of working these dead-end jobs and I was tired of having a boss. Yes, not even 3 years outside of high school and I was already sick and tired of working a 9-5 and having a boss, go figure.
So working these jobs, I felt like what I was doing was meaningless, and if I was going to spend 8+ hours a day away from my family, I better be doing something that makes me happy.
So while working each new job, I would ponder all day about what was out there and what job was right for me. So I would search websites like Indeed day in and day out. Until one day it hit me: I have a set of skills that I learned in high school that can make me money. If you have a business, you need a website, so I already knew that web design would be a realistic career.
So that spiraled into where we are today, but since I have started my reasoning has grown.
The main premise still exists: I hate having a boss and working 9-5 jobs for someone else; I want to be my own boss. But now that I have a family, I can add more reasons, the biggest one is wanting to break away and have the freedom to do what I want, when I want with my family.
So that’s it. That’s my story. What’s yours?
